Once you have installed the manifold securely into the pumpkin opening, break out the power tools because you’re about to go deep. Using a power drill or a screwdriver, pierce a hole big enough to fit the tap. Make sure the tap connects with the manifold. Once the tap is connected to the manifold, it’s now called a “tun”. The tun works as a wort collection device to make the pumpkin beer. Make sure the tap is secure in place and there is no leak when liquid is poured into the pumpkin.
